Underground Music Scene Embraces Southern Christian Rock - Amos Rise Above Reaches #3 on Christian Indie Chart

Dallas, TX (PRWEB) April 13, 2006 — Amos’ debut radio single Rise Above, from their upcoming sophomore album Faith Knows No Fear, reached #3 on Radio Active Journal’s Christian indie chart this week.

Amos’ fresh, edgy, retro Southern Christian Rock music is gaining the attention of audiences who follow the independent Christian music scene.

‘Rise Above’ encourages Christ followers to be ’salt and light’ - Matthew 5:13 - 16, said Amos Band.

It’s about living in the world, but not being of the world. In other words, rising above the deceptive lure of darkness and standing strong in Christ.

Since its release to radio in Feb. 2006, Rise Above has rapidly moved up the chart. In mid-February it reached #20. By mid-March it was at #15.

We are very excited to see Amos taking off. They have been working very hard for the past few years and it’s great to see the Lord blessing their music ministry, said the Faith, Hope and Love Label.

Before releasing ‘Rise Above’ to radio, our prayer was that Jesus would use this song for His glory, said Amos Band. We hope it helps people draw closer to Him.

Amos’ sophomore CD, Faith Knows No Fear, is set for release in May 2006.
