Aishwarya Rai- Aishwarya Rai, a thorough professional

Recently while shooting on the sets of Mani Ratnams Guru, the beautiful Miss Rai had a minor accident while riding a bicycle for a scene. Even though the lass was advised to take rest, the actress decided to resume shooting after a days rest. In her other film which is a remake Aishwarya Rai plays the role of a beautiful temptress immortalized by the beautiful Rekha in Umrao Jaan. While shooting for Umrao Jaan, Aishwarya depicted her complete professional attitude when she shot for a scene in extremely cold water.

For a particular scene in the film Umrao Jaan, Ash was required to shoot a scene in the water. A source from the unit confirms Theres this water sequence with Ash. The scene was shot in the month of January at Jaipur. It was freezing cold and to everybodys surprise, Ash agreed to swim in a pool, in such extreme weather conditions. Even everyone on the sets, including her co-stars had advised Ash not to take such a grave risk with her health. However Ash being a thorough professional decided to throw caution to the winds and agreed to do the scene. Ash also didnt want to disappoint her director, J.P Dutta.

Ash did the sequence in the freezing water and as soon as the shot was approved she emerged from the water shivering. She also looked pale and ready to collapse. Everyone including director J.P. Dutta was concerned about the actresss health. However the brave Ash soon returned to normal and proceeded with her shooting. But some sources claim that the scene with Ash in the water was actually shot in the pool of a five-star hotel. The water temperature too was at a normal level. Ash was in the pool only for five minutes. The source also claimed that Ash could not have got any frostbite, as director J.P always took good care of his stars.

Well, if Ash did brave the cold waters to give a shot, it just goes to show that she is a complete professional and does not mind taking a risk if she knows it is what is required, for the film.
